SELF-CONTROL
What Happens When You Retain for 90 Days
By Nishkarsh Sharma
There is something inside your body that is so powerful it can create a human being. It can create life. A single sperm, when it meets a female egg, builds an entire person. Like you. Like me.
And if you break a grain of sand into a thousand pieces, this thing is still smaller. Yet it carries the force to create life.
You are flushing it two or three times a day. And then you ask why you have no energy. Why you have no confidence. Why your life is not moving forward.
Today I am going to tell you exactly what happens when you retain this for 90 days. What it does to your mind. What it does to your body. And what it does to your life.
What you are actually wasting
This is not a normal fluid. From a purely biological point of view, it contains zinc, which is essential for testosterone production. Selenium, which is critical for brain function. Vitamin B12, which your body needs for energy. Magnesium, which supports your muscles and nerves. It contains proteins and amino acids that rebuild your body.
Your body collects all of these nutrients, concentrates them, and converts them into semen. Think about that. Your body is taking its best resources and packaging them into this one thing.
Have you ever asked yourself why nature created this fluid? Why did God, the universe, whatever you believe in, design this?
It was not designed for addiction. It was not designed for temporary pleasure. It was designed to create life. This is what Ayurveda teaches. This is what traditional Chinese medicine teaches. This is what our ancient scriptures say.
But today, it is being wasted for time pass and entertainment.
What happens in your brain
When you masturbate and watch pornography, your body reaches orgasm. Dopamine floods your brain. Dopamine is the chemical that makes you feel good. Your brain thinks it just received a reward.
Normally, dopamine is released when you accomplish something meaningful. When you achieve something. When you earn something. That feel good sensation is dopamine.
But when you masturbate, the dopamine spike is unnaturally high. Your brain cannot process it naturally. Something that rises that fast crashes that fast. Five seconds of pleasure, then a crash. Guilt. Low energy. Emptiness. A feeling of why did I do that.
Ask yourself honestly. After masturbation, do you feel energetic, powerful, ready to conquer the world? Or do you feel tired, guilty, empty, with no motivation to do anything?
That crash is the dopamine crash. And it does not last for just five minutes. It lingers. It stays with you. If you are addicted to this, ask yourself whether you feel low energy all the time. Whether you feel a lack of motivation, a lack of clarity, a lack of purpose. This might be the reason, and you may not even know it.
After orgasm, your body also releases prolactin. Prolactin sends a signal to your brain that says: it is done, go to sleep now. You start feeling sleepy. Motivation disappears. You feel lazy. And some people will say that is relaxation. It is not relaxation. It is laziness. And if you have goals, if you want to build a business, make money, get a good job, build real relationships, study, build your body, you cannot afford to feel weak. You need to feel strong, confident, powerful.
What happens when you retain
After just seven days of retention, your testosterone levels increase by approximately 145%. In just one week, your testosterone nearly doubles.
Higher testosterone means more energy, more confidence, more motivation, stronger muscles, and even a deeper voice. These things start coming back almost immediately.
But testosterone is only one part of the equation. The bigger part is dopamine. When you keep chasing unnaturally high dopamine through masturbation and pornography, your brain gets addicted to that level. Normal things start feeling boring. Studying feels boring. Going to the gym feels boring. Building a business feels boring. Doing hard work feels boring. Having real conversations feels boring. Your brain has been trained to expect that extreme high, so everything else feels flat.
But when you retain, your brain and body enter reset mode. Slowly, normal things start feeling good again. Small victories start feeling satisfying. Your real transformation begins right there.
When you waste this energy, your body goes into recovery mode. It takes energy to recover. You feel weak. You feel drained. But when you retain, you go into conquering mode. Whatever you want, you feel the drive to go after it. That is the difference.
The 90 day timeline
Here is exactly what the journey looks like.
Days 1 to 7: The craving phase. Your brain will scream for dopamine. Urges will hit hard. It will feel like a drug addict going through withdrawal. Most people fail here. But if you push through this phase, the game changes entirely.
Days 7 to 30: The flatline. You will feel nothing. Not good, not bad. Motivation will be low. Energy will be low. Do not panic. This is your brain resetting. Think of it like a factory reset on your phone. It takes time. And if you interrupt a factory reset halfway through, the entire system can crash. You have to let this phase complete.
Days 30 to 60: The rise. After day 30, things start changing. Energy returns. Confidence builds. Your focus becomes sharper. People around you start noticing something different. Your eyes look different. Your presence feels different. This is where you start to feel that it is actually working.
Days 60 to 90: The transformation. By this point, you are a different person. Not because of magic. Not because of some mystical energy. But because you stopped depleting yourself and started building your energy back up. Your brain is rewired. Your dopamine sensitivity has returned. You are interested in life, not just in pornography. You feel alive.
90 days. Just 90 days.
People waste years on Netflix, social media, and pornography. Can you give yourself 90 days?
The proof
If you think this is not real, consider these examples.
Mike Tyson became the youngest heavyweight boxing champion in the world at age 20. He has openly said in interviews that he retained for five years. His trainer Cus D'Amato made it a rule because he knew that energy belongs in the ring, not in the bedroom. The result was a fighter so powerful that people called him Iron Mike. He finished opponents in the first round. But when Tyson later abandoned this discipline, his life spiraled. His manager Rory Holloway said that Tyson's weakness for women destroyed his entire career.
Steve Jobs, the man who built Apple. His ex-girlfriend Chrisann Brennan wrote in her book that Jobs practiced semen retention. A practice rooted in Indian and Japanese traditions. He used it to build focus and power, conserving his energy for his work. That energy went into building one of the most valuable companies in history.
Muhammad Ali, the greatest of all time. His Olympic coach Harry Wiley said bet on this kid, he will never lose, because his secret is sexual control. Ali himself would abstain for six weeks before every fight. He said the most important part of his training was staying away from nightclubs, staying away from parties, staying away from women, and going to sleep at 9 PM. That is discipline. That is sacrifice. That is the price of greatness.
This is not about celibacy
Let me be clear about something. This is not about never having sex. This is not about never making love. This is not about never having children.
The point is simple: do not waste your semen. Do not waste this force just for an escape. Just for pleasure. Just for time pass and entertainment.
Use it only when it helps you create something. Whether that is love or life. Not pleasure.
The power is already inside you
There is a power inside you that cannot be bought. It is not in any medicine. It is not in any course. It does not come from listening to someone else. There is no shortcut to it.
It is already inside you. And you keep flushing it away.
Stop depleting yourself. Stop wasting yourself. Give yourself 90 days and see what happens when you stop draining your energy and start building it instead.
The choice has always been in your hands.
90 days. Just 90 days.
If this resonated with you, I built a program for men who are serious about breaking free.
